The latest on the Russia-Ukraine conflict is as follows: A US company’s satellite photographs released on Saturday showed serious damage to residential structures in Mariupol as a result of the Russian strike.

According to a private US business, satellite photographs acquired on Saturday morning indicated substantial damage to civilian infrastructure and residential structures around the southern Ukrainian city of Mariupol.

According to Maxar Technologies, flames were detected in the city’s western portion, and scores of high-rise apartment complexes were seriously damaged. The photographs could not be independently verified by Reuters.

Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s foreign minister, claimed on Saturday that while Russian soldiers had entered his nation, Mariupol was still in Ukrainian control.

According to the municipal council, at least 1,582 civilians have been murdered in Mariupol as a result of Russian bombardment and a 12-day siege. The casualty statistics could not be verified immediately by Reuters.
